Acquisition of "30 James Street" in the UK

RIMC Hotels & Resorts takes over the unique hotel "30 James Street" in Liverpool

The hotel operator RIMC, headquartered in Hamburg, acquires the property of the hotel "30 JAMES STREET" better known as "Home of the Titanic" and has thus opened up a new source market.

Hamburg/Liverpool. Under new ownership since the beginning of May: the hotel "30 James Street" in Liverpool was purchased by the international hotel operator RIMC Hotels & Resorts, headquartered in Hamburg, effective May 4, 2023. Real estate consultancy Savills, on behalf of manager Moorfields Advisory, successfully completed the sale of the building in the heart of Liverpool city center.

One of the city's most iconic hotels
In the future, the independent hotel operating company, RIMC Hotels & Resorts Group, will operate the hotel known as the "Home of the Titanic." Once the headquarters of the White Star Shipping Line, with a long history and tradition, the hotel now features 63 spacious rooms and the seventh-floor Carpathia Rooftop Restaurant & Bar, with stunning views of the Mersey River and Liverpool Waterfront from the outdoor terrace.

In addition, there is the historic hall (formerly the Check In Hall for the ship's passengers) which is now used for events. Especially for weddings this room is an absolute hot spot. The hotel's offerings are complemented by the hotel's own spa area with indoor pool, saunas and treatment rooms.

The property is in a prime, central location in Liverpool city center, offering easy access to some of the city's most visited attractions, including the Royal Albert Docks, Liverpool ONE, the Museum of Liverpool and Tate Liverpool.

New market opened up
Duncan Gray, Director RIMC UK comments, "We are thrilled to have just completed "30 James Street" as a unique building with a long history as RIMC Hotels & Resort Group's first acquisition in the UK. Later this year, we plan to commence significant investment in the hotel property. Our goal is to create the best luxury boutique hotel with an exciting and unique offering befitting such a prestigious building and the fantastic city of Liverpool."

With the purchase of the 30 James Street hotel in the UK, RIMC Hotels & Resorts Group has entered a new market with the goal of acquiring more hotels in the UK.

RIMC Hotels & Resorts Group, headquartered in Hamburg, Germany, is one of the leading international hotel companies and with the expansion into the UK market is now present in 9 countries in Europe. At the helm are Marek N. Riegger, CEO/Chief Executive Officer and Audun Lekve, CFO/Chief Financial Officer.

The RIMC Group has a strong track record of success with its idea of operating and, where appropriate, revitalizing hotels with customized management solutions. The group's diverse portfolio of business hotels, city hotels as well as vacation hotels with different categories is currently a healthy and promising mix of hotel products.
